Frederick Austin

Biography

1902 - 1990, a British painter, etcher and engraver. Frederick studied at Leicester College of Art and subsequently won the Prix de Rome in 1927 for his painting, Flight into Egypt, some five years after his brother Robert had achieved the very same accolade. 

Exhibited widely during his life, including at the Royal Academy, works by Frederick are held in many public collections, including the V&A
