A wonderful abstract painting, produced as Alistair moved away from his figurative beginnings and began to develop the abstract compositions he became most famous for, in both paint and print-making medium.
Housed within what appears to be the original frame, the painting would have been produced when Alistair was working as a tutor at the Royal College of Art (RCA), after himself graduating from the RCA in 1951.
