Roy Burrows, 1922 - 2010 - Painter of landscapes and teacher, born in Crewe, Cheshire. He attended Nottingham University and studied art at St Peter’s College, Peterborough, 1947–8, and at Nottingham College of Arts and Crafts, 1948–50. He taught at Cartref Melys School, in Conway, also teaching art summer schools at Coleg Harlech. Showed with RCamA and elsewhere in Wales and the provinces and one-man shows included Peterloo Gallery, Manchester. Stoke-on-Trent City Museum and Art Gallery holds his work. Lived in Colwyn Bay, Clwyd.
