Inscribed to the rear, a portrait of writer Kate Bernard inscribed to her then partner James in 1993. James relates to James Birch, a friend of Grayson's and now a well known and highly respected art curator. James was one half of Birch and Conran Gallery in Soho, a gallery which exhibited Grayson's work during the early part of his career

Monogrammed K B to the left and right centre. 

Potted with integral terracotta frame (the work is constructed as one entire piece) 

Book titles displayed include "Up the arsenal", "Bunty annual 1967", "Foreign muck" and "Jolly good ideas"

Signed to the rear, stamped front bottom centre
