Tour the gallery for Covid Contemporary

8th November, 2020

We should have opened the doors to Covid Contemporary yesterday. Saturday 7th November was to be the culmination of the hard work of four young artists, Louis Appleby, Alice Campbell, Alex Hain and William Reinsch. Well we may not have been able to welcome many of you across the threshold, but we can do so digitally! We've had a 360-degree walk-round film made, here you can wander around the gallery and take a look at each and every piece of art created by the four, even click for more details etc. It may not be quite the same as standing there in front of each, appreciating the texture and fine detail of the works, but it's a fair substitute in a "stay at home" world.

You only need click on the image above if viewing this as an email or click HERE to be taken to a world of digital-wonders (I'm feeling a little poetic and prose-tastic as I write this on Sunday morning). The full online exhibition may be viewed HERE.

We've already had a great response to the exhibition online and hope this goes some way to assist and enhance that response. We've actually extended the exhibition up to the Christmas break. It will now end on Saturday 19th December, so for anyone looking to see works in the flesh, hopefully we'll be in a post lock-down environment for the last two weeks or so of the exhibition and therefore allowing a personal visit.

Whilst the physical gallery remains closed for the time being, we continue to be fully operational by all other means; email, text, phone call (yes, people still make those!) and social media. Works may still be acquired and sent, photographs taken, conversations had etc. We remain very active and in truth very busy, which is a positive clearly not just for us but especially for the artists we try to work hard for.

We hope everyone is fit and well and looking after themselves and those around them.
