Sheila Fell (RA)

3rd April, 2014

We're very excited and privileged to be able to say that the Sheila Fell exhibition is now live. You may find it here  you may also see a pdf copy of the physical catalogue here  and the price list/reception invitation card here

All works are available for sale from now, with physical catalogues and those receiving emails timed to arrive at approximately the same time.

The exhibition will be hung and open to view at 10am Saturday 12th April, with a reception taking place between 12 and 3pm that day. All are very welcome. The gallery will be closed on Friday 11th April to allow us to hang the works.

This is the largest commercial exhibition of Sheila Fell's work since before she died in 1979. Arguably, the most important British landscape painter of the twentieth century, there are over twenty works on show, with all but a handful available to purchase. Many are works that have been in private ownership since initial purchase in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. This is likely to be a hugely popular exhibition and we'd be thrilled to see all of you in the gallery over the three weeks.

Finally, for all of you in the North, we'll be appearing on BBC Look North, Cumbria and the N East (6:30-7pm) either tonight or Friday 4th (probably tonight) talking about Sheila and the exhibition. It'll be available for a short time on BBC I-Player also. I (Steve) think I'll watch from a distance. Always amazed just how I'm turning into my father when I see or hear myself.
