New Work for Easter

27th March, 2013

After the success of the Bill Bell exhibition we're looking forward to Easter and beyond with gusto. The gallery is full of new work. It's our Spring Selection and we have newly delivered work by the likes of Andrea Hunter (the truly amazing felt artist), Helen Tabor, Paul Robinson and John Thompson, amongst many others. We also have two wonderful works by John Bratby and Ruskin Spear, both 20th century names to conjure with in the British art world. A selection can be seen via  but it's a constantly revolving exhibition and we'll be bringing new things into the gallery every few days, not just to replace sold items, so keep an eye on our new work section

Congratulations to Helen Tabor by the way, who has just won The Gullane Gallery award at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh. Very well deserved if her newly delivered work is any measure.

For the Easter weekend the gallery will be open Good Friday, Saturday, Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, so there's no excuse not to pay us a visit (special allowance is granted for those in Cornwall).

Our next solo exhibition, "Ian in the Adams room" will start in May, and will showcase the wonderful sea and landscape oils of Ian Norris. Ian paints in the open, and has had three recent week-long spells stood with easel on the beaches of west Cumbria. For that alone, he deserves a medal. We've seen some of the results already, and you can almost feel and smell the sea. We're looking forward to it immensely.

All for now, enjoy the Easter break,

Steve and Christine
