New Work and London

8th January, 2016

New work into the gallery. After collecting nine previously unseen works in November from the family of the late Norman Cornish, all were sold before year end. We’ve collected an additional eight and all are now listed on the website Included are two wonderful previously unseen oils of street scenes around Spennymoor, plus some smaller works on paper. Additionally fresh into the gallery, we have nine Cumbrian paintings by the very talented Colin Halliday  with some great work completed around the Ullswater and Buttermere areas.

In less than two weeks’ time, we’ll be exhibiting at the London Art Fair at Islington. There will be a preview on Tuesday 19th in the afternoon/evening, with the fair continuing until Sunday 24th. This is one of the premier art events of the year and we’re thrilled to be part of it. We’ll be exhibiting works by Sheila Fell, Winifred Nicholson, Joan Eardley, Grayson Perry, Carel Weight, Angus Neil, Eileen Cooper, Barbara Rae and John Bellany. Many of the works have been acquired over the last year and have not been brought into the gallery or placed on the website. We’re unlikely to place them on the website until after the end of the fair. If anyone is interested in works by any of the above artists, I’d encourage you to contact us in the near future. We have a limited number of tickets remaining available for the fair, so anyone who wishes to have one and has not yet let us know, now’s your chance.

All for now,

Steve and Christine
