A happy new year from the both of us!... Many thanks to all for helping us achieve a highly successful and enjoyable year in 2013, we're really looking forward to the next twelve months !

Our Winter Exhibition continues, with many new works added every week http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibition-details.php?EID=40  Since last emailing out, we've brought two new artists to the gallery, namely Chris Rigby http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/paintings-for-sale/chris-rigby/ and Peter Turnbull http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/paintings-for-sale/peter-turnbull/ both based in Cumbria/North West and both fabulous painters. More works from them in the coming days. Additional works from Michael Bennett, Karen Wallbank and Percy Kelly have also been added ! Don't forget, a selection of new works brought to the gallery can always be seen in the New Work section http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/new-work/ Always worth keeping an eye on as we're out and about across the country each week in search of great art to bring back to Castlegate. Indeed, within the next two weeks or so we'll have some wonderful ceramics arriving from Doug Fitch, and paintings from Helen Fryer

Looking forward, we've a packed schedule. In March we'll be welcoming a familiar artist to Castlegate, Alistair Tucker. Alistair has teamed up with a wonderful poet, David Lewis, and both will be showing their respective takes on walks through Cumbria and the Fells. In April we'll hold the largest selling exhibition of works by Sheila Fell since her death in 1979; truly one for the diary ! Hot on its heels will be a joint exhibition from Helen Tabor and a new-to-the-gallery artist, Malcolm Croft. Of Land and Sea is the title, we'll let you guess the subject matter.... Also later in the year we'll have our second exhibition from Ian Norris. Following on from his near sell-out show last May, this should be a cracker. We've seen his recent work and he really is going from strength to strength.

Other things are in the planning stage, so the above is by no means a definitive list, and will undoubtedly grow. Don't forget however, that in between each solo/joint exhibition, our seasonal shows, just like our current Winter exhibition, aim to exhibit an ever-changing wide range of works from many of our favourite artists. It's always worth calling in and checking the web site !!

All for now, and the very best for 2014.
