9th July, 2014
The "June Bennett - A Celebration" exhibition is now live and can be viewed on the following link http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibition-details.php?EID=45 A pdf copy of the physical catalogue can be found here http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibition_images/Catalogue08072014224800.pdf and of the invitation card / price list here http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibition_images/InvitationandPriceList08072014224801.pdf All works are available to acquire now, with all email and postal catalogues timed to arrive today.
The exhibition will be hung in the gallery from Saturday 19th July, with a reception between 12 and 2pm (gallery open 10-5 as usual), with wine and nibbles during the reception. Please do join us and June's husband, Mike, for the opening. June was a mainstay of the gallery for over two decades, with countless people continuing to enjoy her paintings. This is a great opportunity for us all to recognise her contribution and talent, and view and acquire works from June's studio, spanning several decades. Please note, the gallery will be closed on Friday 18th July to allow us to hang the exhibition.
On a separate note, we continue to find new owners for our artwork in Central London. As such, going forward, by appointment, we can offer to show clients works of art at your home, if in Central London, or, again by prior arrangement, in West Kensington if more convenient; all without obligation. We're in London almost each week, so this seems a logical additional service we can offer to make choosing art as little hassle as we can.
Finally, it's now almost exactly two years since Christine and I purchased Castlegate. It's fair to say it's been an interesting two years, and thankfully enjoyable, if not a great deal of hard work and a drastic change to our family life, Then again, as they say, you get out what you put in. A big thank you to all who have supported us during this time; it's meant a lot.
p.s. for all collectors out there, we have the most amazing and rare work by the famous Joan Eardley now for sale. http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/paintings-for-sale/joan-eardley-rsa/glasgow-boy/ I'm a bit excited about this painting!
That's all for now, hope to see you during June's exhibition,
Steve and Christine
