Ian Norris Exhibition - Tracing the Derwent
15th October, 2014
The exhibition by Ian Norris, charting his walks along the Derwent, from Styhead Tarn to its end at the sea at Workington, is now online http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibition-details.php?EID=46 With catalogues also arriving in hallways across the country, we’ve already been inundated with requests to secure a significant number of works, so I’d genuinely encourage anyone interested to be quick. These are truly stunning works by an artist who is rapidly becoming recognised as one of the most exciting talents at work in the north, and indeed broader UK. A pdf of the physical catalogue can be seen here http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibition_images/Norriscatalogue14102014154740.pdf and the video we produced last year here http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/videos/castlegate-house-presents-painter-ian-norris/
The exhibition will be hung and open to see from Saturday 25th October. We’ll be closed on Friday 24th to enable us to hang the exhibition, but if anyone would like to see a work prior to this, that’s perfectly possible, by arrangement.
A reception will be held at the gallery on the Saturday (25th) from 12-2pm, with our usual food and drink fayre, and importantly with Ian in attendance. Do come along and view what promises to be a superb exhibition, and chat to Ian. The gallery will be open that day from 10-5, as usual.
All for now, hope to see you during the exhibition,
Steve and Christine
