Helen Fryer, Solo Exhibition
7th March, 2016
The Helen Fryer solo exhibition is now live! http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibitions/helen-fryer/ Thirty Eight new paintings by a highly talented artist. The exhibition charts a journey from her native West Cumbria to the coasts and Isles of Scotland.
A really tremendous body of work from an artist who has been so well received since we started showing her work a number of years ago, that we felt compelled to ask Helen to work with us towards this solo show. This body of work has been over a year in the making, and we’re thrilled with the results, Helen should be too.
All works are available for sale now. The physical exhibition will open its doors on Saturday 19th March, and will run until the 9th April. A reception will be held on the first day, the 19th, from 12 noon to 2pm. Please do join ourselves and Helen for the reception, if able; it’ll be well worth it.
Don’t forget that the Arts Council OwnArt scheme can be used to fund any of Helen’s paintings, with the cost split over ten months. Also, the scheme has been extended. Whereas it was previously limited to a maximum of £2,500, it can now, amazingly, be used for larger purchases from £2,500 to £25,000! Now’s your chance to get carried away (really carried away!).
Finally, we're in need of someone to help cover the gallery every third Saturday, with a little flex' perhaps. This isn't a voluntary role, don't worry. Anyone who is interested in being considered, just drop us a line.
All for now, please do join us on the 19th, if able.
