FFS (Fair For Saatchi) and Norman Cornish
15th June, 2019
The first of two news items this coming week, firstly (this) about our imminent appearance at the Saatchi Gallery, London, then a quick message about Norman Cornish.
Castlegate House Gallery will be exhibiting at FFS (Fair For Saatchi) from 26th to 30th June, one of twenty-five selected galleries forming part of what should be a really exciting and interesting art fair. As the title implies, the fair will be at the famous Saatchi Gallery just off Sloane Square and coincides with the wonderful Masterpiece fair a very short stroll away from the Saatchi.
We'll be exhibiting many artists including Francis Bacon, Frank Auerbach, David Hockney, John Bellany and Wilhelmina Barnes-Graham together with two of our young and highly talented artists, Alice Campbell and William Reinsch; very much looking forward to it. Anyone who wishes to obtain a complimentary ticket for two, please just let us know and we'll send over an e-ticket. Many, although by no means all, of the works we'll be showing are shown within our LATEST WORK section of the website, including an astounding self portrait drawing by Frank Auerbach and one of the most sought after of Francis Bacon lithographs.
Regarding Norman Cornish, our much anticipated exhibition marking the centenary of Norman's birth will go live by 21st June, with the physical exhibition opening its doors on 6th July. A fully illustrated A4 size seventy page catalogue (more like a spine-bound book in truth), limited to just 200 copies, will be available to purchase during the exhibition, and the e-version will be released by 21st in line with the usual exhibition online listing. Watch this space over the coming days for full details.
All for now,
Steve and Christine
