A Winter Selection!
30th November, 2018
Our Winter Selection exhibition is now live
Our new winter exhibition is now live and may be viewed HERE. We’ve a gallery-full of new work to see, including works by Eileen Cooper (RA), David Storey, Alice Campbell (more of Alice a little further down), Howard Hodgkin, Chris Rigby and Malcolm Croft, amongst many others.
Alice Campbell is a true talent, typifying the resurgence of British contemporary painting. Graduating from the prestigious Duncan of Jordanstone Art School in Dundee in 2017, Alice has already become a multi-award winning artist, including both the Watermark Award and the Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award from the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour. Alice's work has both the energy you'd expect from an immediate post-art school artistic life and the maturity to recognise influences and produce something truly unique in itself. She’s almost a modern day Scottish colourist. Alice’s work may be seen HERE and we’re very excited to be working with her.
Also worth a specific mention are a series of new works provided by David Storey. As well as his medium and larger sized paintings, evocative in subject of eras long since passed, there are a series of small wonderful oil paintings on board. These truly are exquisite and work either as framed pieces for the wall or, actually our preference, as unframed works residing on a bookcase or mantelpiece, if you see where we’re going. They’re almost like early 20th century curios. Just sublime. All of David’s work may be seen HERE
All for now, enjoy perusing the website and please do feel free to come into the gallery, if able, take a wander and have a chat.
