A Festive Round-Up
8th December, 2014
Festive greetings! A few brief points as we all race towards Christmas 2014 and New Year 2015! (I remember watching Space 1999 as a child in the 70s and thinking how far that seemed in the future!!!)
Our ever-changing Winter Exhibition continues apace, with new paintings and ceramics added, including works by Tim Lake, Doug Fitch and Hannah McAndew, as well as seven new paintings to the gallery by Colin Halliday. http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibition-details.php?EID=52 Also, arriving in the next few days, will be new ceramics by Paul Young and works by Joe Morris, so there's lots to see, and lots of affordable ceramics/art if feeling like treating yourself or that certain someone else! Also, don't forget that the Arts Council OwnArt scheme can be used for most purchases, and there's still time to get things sent by carrier if out of the area.
Also updated is the latest post from one of our new-talent artists, Alex Hain http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/blogs/alexs-blog/ Read the section titled Tick Tock for the new post. You'll see, he's starting to feel the pressure!
For anyone planning on coming to the gallery over the festive period, it's looking like we'll close the doors at 5pm on Monday 22nd Dec, and reopen on Saturday 3rd January, APART FROM, Saturday 27th, when we'll be open for the day, should anyone wish to call by. The tree, which adorns the gallery now, will, hopefully, still have a good dose of life left in it!!
All for now, keep calm and enjoy the undoubted repeat of the Morecambe and Wise Christmas Special from 1976.
