2016 Plans and Opening Hours

22nd December, 2015

It’s hard to believe that this is our fourth Christmas as owners of Castlegate. We’d like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and prosperous New Year, and to thank you for your continued support.

2016 will be a very busy year for us. We have solo exhibitions planned for the paintings of Helen Fryer, Martin Greenland and Ian Norris (with a Midsummer Night’s Dream theme), the wonderful sculptural work of Nichola Theakston and an exhibition return for Alex Hain, amongst others. Additionally, we’ll be announcing a partnership with a major British artist who many of you may have seen in 2015 at the Royal Academy. We’ll also be continuing to work with the family of the late Norman Cornish, to bring many previously unseen works out into the open, heading towards a major exhibition during 2017.

January will be a busy time for us, with the London Art Fair from 20th to 24th. We’ll also be running our Winter Exhibition right up to our first solo show of the year, by Helen Fryer, towards Easter. The Winter show will change often, as new work comes in (“wall art” and ceramics, in equal measure), so keep an eye out http://www.castlegatehouse.co.uk/exhibitions/winter-exhibition/ New work by Helen Tabor has just arrived, to prove the point.

Finally, we’ll close the doors for the Christmas break this Wednesday, 23rd, and reopen on Monday 4th January. As always, we’re available by mobile and email whenever the physical gallery door is shut. Through January and February, we’ll have slightly reduced opening times, with the gallery closed on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each week. Again, always available by email or mobile.

Very best to all,

Steve and Christine
