My New Studio, and New Pressures!
22nd October, 2014
In light of my upcoming exhibition at Castlegate House, I have been busy preparing photographs and drawings in my new studio space, ready for large scale work. It's exciting being back in a wholly creative space and finally having the time to start engaging with new (and old) ideas. Where to start is always an issue and yet the best thing to do is to start making and see where things get to. So often we can feel under pressure to commit to an end point or fixed idea before we’ve even started. It is a challenge to allow things the space and time to develop without knowing what that end point is going to be. I have never produced a collection of work so big, so the next few months are both exciting and daunting – no pressure!!
