A New studio and a Gallery Visit
16th September, 2014
There is one simple reason for my absence; I can happily announce that I have found my new studio - with electricity, ventilation, beautiful high beamed ceilings and lots of light! I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to the day when I can move in with all my materials, boxes of paints, and canvas and get back to a regular painting schedule. London is expensive, especially for an emerging artist and graduate student, and the financial commitments are steep. But I am confident in my decision to pursue painting and I am energised just thinking about it. As always, I want my painting style to evolve and I see my best work emerge when I fully embrace that. Watch this space!
I also recently visited Castlegate House to have a look at some of my paintings in situ before they came down. Sharing the gallery amongst so many other talented artists, I was (and still am) in awe! I cannot express in words how it feels to see them hung in the gallery, and it is touching to see them now in their new respective homes.
