, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham who died on 29th January 2004 aged 91 was part of the original St Ives group.
She was working actively until the end. In the last decade of her life she produced a series of radiant and lively works. Despite ill health she worked very actively to produce several series of screen prints which we show here.
The Time Series is now almost finished but we have a few of the edition still available.She studied at Edinburgh School of art and came to st Ives in 1940 when Nicholson and hepworth were working there. She enjoyed the work and company of Nahum Gabo, Peter Lanyon and John Wells and founded the Penwith Society of Art. She divided her toime between her studios in St Ives and St Andrews. In 2001 she received a CBE followed by her 3rd honorary doctorate and a biography by Mel Gooding.
